About Lake Ridge Neighborhood LibraryThe fourth of six neighborhood libraries to open, Dale City's dedication ceremony took place on February 11, 1986, amid snow and ice. The library is a 2,475 square foot, single story, County owned structure.
The library collection comprises about 26,000 items including Audio Books, DVD’s, and Videos. Dale City offers notary services, fax services, and engraving equipment. Story hours remain popular with young children. Summer Quest and Teen Summer Reading programs remain a welcome summer activity for all the children.
On March 26, 2001 an act of arson closed the library. Dale City reopened for service on November 13, 2001.
