Prince William County Entertainment

Are you facing another weekend with nothing to do? Do you need some ideas to get you out of the house? Let's see what others are doing for Prince William County VA entertainment and amusements. It just might be what you need to get you off the couch and out the door.

Prince William County is pretty normal in a lot of respects. You will find a fair share of movies showing at any given time (Potomac Mills Mall has the most). Nice restaurants are scattered throughout the county. And so are the fun little open air restaurants where you sit outdoors and just take it all in. Water parks are fun and so is rowing a canoe around a small lake. If you like shopping, there is plenty of that also.

Wouldn't you rather sit in a library reading a good book and enjoying the atmosphere than sitting on the couch watching the tube? Why not spend time in each one of Prince William County's ten libraries and decide which one you like the best. Or maybe have several favorites you go back to time and again.

Have you been to a good festival lately? The Occoquan Spring Arts and Crafts festival is just one of many to choose from. Arts, Crafts, shopping, food, clowns and everything fun are found at a festival. A fair can be just as much fun and the Prince William County Fairgrounds (off Rt. 234) is great.

When was the last time you had a picnic in the park? Everywhere you look in northern Virginia there is a park. You can choose from big ones or little ones, ones with water and ones with playground equipment for the kids. You could stop by the library, grab a good book, head to your favorite park and have a picnic. Afterwards, you take your book and find a big shade tree. Now we are having fun.

While we are talking about parks, what about all of those hiking tails? They are all over some of these parks. Have you made it your new years resolution to hike a new trail every week? That's not really a bad idea considering the benefits of walking mixed with the mental tranquility of being out in nature. Hiking is also a great family activity. Do you want some tired kids in the evening, ones that are eager to get to bed, just take them hiking for the day. Swimming has the same effect on kids, a day at the lake and it's lights out early. Hiking and swimming are both easy on the pocket book also.

There is plenty of nightlife to be enjoyed in towns like Manassas and Woodbridge. Get dressed up and do the town on occasion, it's good for you. Be smart about it though, if you think you need a cab, you probably do. There are plenty of taxi services that can get you home safely, so go ahead, have a little fun now and then.

Prince William County VA entertainment could mean a lot of different things to different people, but whatever you are looking for it is probably close by.

Speaking of which -- if you can't find the entertainment you are looking for in PWC, then you surely will find it in Fairfax County or even Washington DC. You could be in the Nation's Capitol with all it has to offer in 45 short minutes (depending on traffic of course).
