Attached is the program for the City of Manassas 4th Annual Neighborhood Conference on Sat. Nov. 13, from 9 am to 3 pm at the Boys & Girls Club of Manassas, 9501 Dean Park Lane. Here are some highlights: 1. FOUR City neighborhoods will be honored with Neighborhood of the Year Awards at 2:30 p.m. Almost 20 entries were received and judged earlier this week. 2. Conference sponsor KIA of Manassas is donating 2% of proceeds of any KIA vehicle sold Saturday in the Boys & Girls Club parking lot to the Sumner Lake Neighborhood Rebuilding Fund. 3. New at this year’s conference – Increased YOUTH FOCUS. a. Tina Murray of Project Infusion’s “My Defining Moment” b. Rob Weaver’s Dream Basketball Clinic c. Build-a-Bears project with non-toxic bears donated to Children’s Hospital in memory of Sey-J Landsdowne, a Manassas Boys & Girls Club member who died this summer. His dad, Seymour, will assist. 4.
