Movie Under the Stars: “The Grace Card” is June 11

Manassas St. Thomas UMC will host an old-fashioned “Movie Under the Stars” on Sat., June 11, 8-10 p.m. on the church lawn, 8899 Sudley Rd, Manassas (inside if it rains). The main feature is the 2011 film, “The Grace Card” (PG13, Provident Films), the story of two police officers and the story of grace. A free will offering and sale of popcorn, lemonade & iced tea will benefit the recent 1 By Youth project. Open to the public. Bring a lawn chair or blanket. The 1 By Youth project brought 600 volunteers into Manassas on May 14 to build community and honor a hero – Manassas City Police Department Sgt. John D. Conner III, the only officer in the City of Manassas to die in the line of duty. He was a father of four, and he died on July 24, 1988. Donations may also be made to the Manassas City Police Charitable Foundation, Inc. (MCPCF) for the Scholarship Fund in memory of Sgt. Conner.
