Question about Lake Montclair

by Ms. Kimberly Garrison

I live in Manassas and I am looking for somewhere for my son and I to go not to terribly far from here for a day. Do you have to live in Montclair in order to visit the lake? I was just curious. My email address is YankeesGirl@gmail.com

Thank you:)

Water Spots in Prince William County
by: Mo Johnson

Hi, to answer your question -- Lake Montclair is a private lake. You have to have a resident tag to access it or visit it as a guest of a Montclair resident.

But, there are other water access options in PWC. One of my favorites is Leesylvania State Park. There is tons to do there and you can even launch a boat out onto the Potomac River. I think it costs something like $5 a car to use the park for the day. Great deal!!

Another great place is our very own National Park which you can read about at Prince William Forest Park. Great hiking, biking and a nice creek runs through there.
