weedon/weeden African Americans in Prince William Co, VA

by carol wheeldin warren
(rio vista, ca, usa)

I am at a loss to connect w/any AA/Natives w/the WEEDON/WEEDEN surname or any various spellings of the same (I am working w/26).

Believe that my family line originated in VA, and would love to be in contact w/someone who is working on the same research.

Would also like to hear from any descendants of ancestors (AA) who may have been among those who migrated to NS and CA in 1783-------I am especially interested in anyone who may descend from a JUDEY WEEDON, a 14yr old Black female who was a passenger aboard the L'Abundance ship which arrived in Port Roseway, NS in 1783.

Possible VA surnames which connect w/my line are: REDDICK, RICHARDSON, WHEATON, WELDON, WILDON.
