Where is African-American One Room School House?

by Wendy Felix

Good Morning,

Where is the African American one room school that was recently open to visitors? I know it is somewhere in Prince William County but can't remember exactly where.

Lucasville School
by: Mo Johnson

Hi Wendy, thanks for the question. The answer is the Lucasville School, near Manassas. The Washington Post wrote an article about it last year. Here's a link to the article:

Washington Post Article about Lucasville School.

You also might find this older article about it (and the the Barnes Farmhouse) interesting as well:

Lucasville School for Colored Children.
