Animal Adoption Cost Information
All dogs and cats adopted from the Prince William County Animal Shelter must be spayed or neutered. The prices below may not reflect the fact that some veterinarians will itemize a bill. Be sure to get full billing details from your veterinarian.
If you see an animal that interests you, please obtain the following information and give it to personnel at the front desk. (Dogs in Gates 1-8, wearing blue numbered tags, are available for adoption at this time. Puppies and cats in the Cat and Puppy Room are also available for immediate adoption.) When you give the information listed below to shelter personnel, any knowledge we have about the animal will be shared with you.
Adult Dogs: Obtain gate number and number around neck.
Puppies: Obtain number on collar around puppy's neck.(Blue collar-male, reddish/pink collar-female)
Cats/kittens: Obtain number hanging from cage.(Blue collar-male; reddish/pink collar-female; white collar-unsexed)
